Some
say that the proper place for a surfer should be in the waves,
not behind a camera. Fortunately since the early ages of surfing
some guys have had a different opinion. In our film section,
we will focus on the movies shot after surfing had been elevated
from a sport to a way of life. From
legendary directors as Falzon, Greenough, Jepsen or Witzig to
the younger they have inspired, we will bring you the DVDs as
soon as they are available in European format. Subscribe
to our newsletter if you’d like to build an extensive movie
collection, we’ll keep you informed. |

MORNING OF THE EARTH by Alby Falzon, 1972 Foundation:
the early hours of short board a pure soul artistic approach
Bucolic Australian countryside,
organic produce, a bearded Nat Young as Surfing Moses parting
the waters at Byron Bay, young Terry Fitzgerald body-torquing
at Rocky Point, Michael Peterson in the tube at Kirra.
No talking, just hippy music and waves, that’s what we love.
A must have lovely, milestony surf film.
